In the very beginning before there were Scenario and Big Games Flag Raiders hosted the Vietnam campaign game, this 90 minute game always played after lunch set the standard for years to come. Two teams would play for superiority on the field of battle, with mission themed games ranging from a simple attack on the village to the multiple objectives POW rescue or the ever popular rescue the downed airman.
As the player base and demand increased for theme oriented game play Flag Raiders introduced the first Phoenix Project. Now the benchmark for scenario play in the in the industry the Phoenix project has been entertaining diehard scenario enthusiasts since the first Phoenix Project in 1993. Each Phoenix Project has a specific theme, often taken from current world issues, motion pictures or from the pages of history. Past Phoenix Projects include Blackhawk Down, Operation Enduring Freedom, We Were Soldiers, and Rogue Agent. Flag Raiders hosts two Phoenix Projects each year, one in the spring and one in the fall. Players have the opportunity to take on a and live out a specific role or specialty during a Phoenix Project, such as a Medic, Radio Operator, Demolitions Expert, Engineer and even a Spy.
A scenario (incorporates multiple and sub missions, with points awarded for completion of missions) or the traditional big game (using flag hangs and player eliminations for scoring) is an eight hour, day long, continuous, multi-field paintball experience. Players are divided into two teams, each team consisting of multiple squads, each squad having its own squad leader. Teams are commanded by a General. Missions are sent to each General by a Game Master
Phoenix Projects and big games often mass hundreds of players, who participate in this paintball extravaganza. Talent among players ranges from first time renters to seasoned scenario veterans. Player age also ranges from grandchildren to grandfathers. Participants have come from as far away as California. Individual and groups are welcome and can easily be placed on a squad. At any one point there are a few hundred players on the field completing missions and battling for field position. Participants are encouraged to come dressed in theme oriented costumes, prizes are awarded to the best and most original costumes.

Big Game
Red Dawn 5 “Wolverines Revenge”
DATE: Sunday March 7th, 2010
Traditionally a near sell-out since the inaugural event in 2006. Red Dawn has become more than just the kick-off event of the paintball season in Ontario - It’s become a sporting spectacle, with players often dressed in authentic Russian and Winter camouflage as they blend into the snow covered terrain.
This series is based loosely on the 1985 fictional movie of the same name, after a Russian and Cuban lead invasion of the United States. This winter series big game pits two Super Powers together as they face off to see who will gain dominance for the day.
Pencil in the first Sunday of March on your calendar every year and join us at Flag Raiders Paintball as we battle for bragging rights as Red Dawn Victor for the year.

Phoenix Project 22 “D-Day Invasion”
Date: Sunday June 6th, 2010
2010’s Spring Phoenix Project 22, titled “D-Day Invasion", held on Sunday June 6th, 2010, the actual anniversary of the D-Day Invasion in 1944. Two teams will face off - the Axis Team lead by Zeewin Rommel and the Allied Team lead by Dmatt Eisenhower.
Phoenix Project 22 is a WWII based game. Look for some great costumes, and amphibious & parachute landings, as the Allies storm the beaches in this soon-to-be-epic Phoenix Project. A scenario game (incorporates multiple missions and sub missions, with points awarded for completion of each task) is an eight-hour, day-long, continuous, multi-field paintball experience.

The Summer Big Game at Flag Raiders traditionally always portrays a Vietnam theme. This year, players will battle for dominance of “Hamburger Hill” - a truly historic battle that occurred during the Vietnam conflict.
This day-long big game takes players back to the Jungles and Central Highlands of Vietnam. Join 100's of scenario and big game players from across North America.

FNN BREAKING NEWS….
This just in, live from the North Pole… Santa and his helpers are being held in their toyshop! A rogue group of right-wing Elves have barricaded themselves inside one of the many toyshops at the North Pole. A negotiator from the E.B.I. (Elvin Bureau of Investigation) has been dispatched to end this situation quickly, as Christmas is less than 40 days away. An Elvin SWAT Team is standing by but they need your help to save Christmas!
Paintballers of the world unite. With your help we can make this Christmas special for those less fortunate in our area (including future young paintballers). A portion of the entry fee and paint sales from this one-day Christmas Big Game will be used to purchase toys for children in need, across the Region.
